MOVE. FEEL. CONNECT. EVERY WEEK.
Your Ecstatic Dance Club in Montreal!
What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement journey rooted in ancient traditions.
Across cultures and centuries, people have danced to release, connect, and celebrate life. It’s one of the most natural way to express.
Today, it’s a modern ritual, a social gathering — no steps, no talking, just music, presence and the freedom to move.
A space to let go, awaken joy, and feel fully alive — in your body, and in community.
Connection all in and all out. A place to come back home to yourself.
What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement practice — a space where you’re invited to move however your body wants to move, with no choreography, no talking, and no judgment. Just music that guides you, emotions that move through you, and freedom to follow your inner rhythm.
This practice isn’t new. For thousands of years, cultures around the world have used dance as a natural gateway to healing, celebration, prayer, and trance — from Sufi whirling, to West African dance rituals, to Indigenous ceremonies and shamanic trance states. Before words, there was rhythm. Before performance, there was presence.
In today’s fast-paced world, Ecstatic Dance offers a return to something ancient and essential: embodied expression in community.
You don’t need to “know how to dance.” All you need is a willingness to listen — to your breath, your body, your energy. Whether you come to release stress, awaken joy, explore consciousness, or simply move, you are welcome here.
🌟 Our 5 Ecstatic Dance Guidelines
🤐 No Talking on the Dance Floor
We connect through movement, not words. Silence supports presence and deeper collective flow.
💃 Move However You Wish
There’s no choreography. Follow your own rhythm — wild, subtle, or still — all movement is welcome.
🍃 Dance Sober
We hold a clear space — free of alcohol and substances. The music, breath, and community are enough.
🦶 Barefoot Dancing
We dance without shoes to stay grounded and connected. Socks are okay if needed for comfort.
❤️ Respect & Consent
This is a space of mutual care. Always respect others’ boundaries. Eye contact and shared dance are welcome — but only with clear, mutual agreement.
