Dance is a social and integrative practice that connects people. We believe that everybody can dance. We are passionate about dance practice and moreover to endorse dance as a healing practice accessible to all.

The way we instinctively move, dance, and interact on the dance floor often mirrors how we navigate other areas of our lives. Contact Beyond Contact provides a safe and playful space to explore this, offering you the opportunity to discover new aspects of yourself and create fresh pathways for being in the world.

Facilitator:

Marianne has been dancing for as long as she can remember. She consider dance like one of the most natural way to express, definitely her favorite language.
Passionate by dance and movement and its effect on ‘human’ on physical, mental and spiritual levels, she’s continuously exploring new approach, leading her to study from dance techniques, fitness and training concept, shamanic principles, and other practices such as Reiki and NLP. She’s also the co-founder of Plein Soleil.

Drez Slezac

Drez Slezak is a DJ/Producer, born in Costa Rica and based in Ottawa, Canada. He is also the co-founder of Sonic Springs Festival. He draws inspiration from earth-healing sounds and rhythms that tap into the psyche, allowing participants to sink into a deep state of flow.

Expect a unique and playful musical journey weaving ambient textures, Latin American influences, psychedelic bass, and more.

Thomas Von Party

Co-founder of Multi Culti World Records, Datcha, and Plein Soleil, Thomas ‘Von Party’ is a DJ with an impressive 28 years of professional experience as a touring artist and producer. 
Expect an open-ended musical journey with amazing records cherry-picked from around the world — his ecstatic sets play from an incredible range, grounded in powerful rhythms, bountiful, uplifting melodies, with ambient sections that aim to deep catharsis.

Corey Sheikh

Corey Sheikh is the visionary creator, DJ, and primary facilitator of the AWAKEN Experience—a transformative journey of dance, breath and sound; drawing from over 12 years in guiding wellness-based sessions. His background in Group Fitness, Ecstatic Dance, Breathwork, Meditation, Emotional Healing, and Sound Therapy have all been woven together through his music curation, production, and mixing.

His DJ sets bring together the essence of these modalities through the expression of dance, breath, and frequency, pulling on the sounds of Organic, Afro, and Progressive House, Tribal Melodic Techno, and Golden Era Trance, enriched by ambient synths, ancient vocals, and meditative soundscapes.

These curated musical journeys create immersive, transformative experiences, inviting a full spectrum of emotions, energies, and sensations aligned with AWAKEN’s holistic approach.

Dove Raven

Dove Raven takes us on a profound, joyful journey inspired by ancestral rhythms and hypnotic harmonies. Guided by DJ decks and mics, their performances blend ecstatic energy with captivating soundscapes. 

The duo features Mr. Raven, a multidisciplinary artist and renowned Montreal MC with an infectious, high-energy presence, and Lady Dove, a versatile creator expressing beauty through art, singing, meditation, energy healing, and performance.

Sunday Drift — Mellow Motion & Connection

An invitation to slow down, soften, and move in presence.

Sunday Drift is a gentle, immersive dance journey guided by the deep, ethereal soundscapes of Thomas Carbou — music that invites listening rather than effort, and movement that arises naturally from sensation and breath.

The afternoon opens with an embodiment and connection workshop guided by Marianne Derycke, held within Thomas’ musical universe. Through simple somatic and relational explorations, we’ll arrive in the body and ease into a free-flowing dance rooted in softness, awareness, and presence.

Connection with others is invited, never mandatory. You’re always welcome to dance solo, follow your own rhythm, and stay in your personal space throughout the journey.

The experience unfolds as one continuous wave — unhurried and intuitive — and closes with a moment of grounding, connection, and sharing. Feel free to bring a small snack to share; we’ll offer some as well.

Attentive to the quality of his mixes and transitions, he guides the crowd through a coherent journey that feels natural, present, and undeniably fire on the dancefloor.

Don Mescal

Step into a sound-mixing laboratory where electronic music blends with sounds inspired by folk traditions and world cultures. Don Mescal invites you to journey into a mystical universe where boundaries dissolve, where the ancient and the modern collide, drawing dancers into a cosmic dance from which they will emerge forever transformed.

Don Mescal is a beloved DJ in the Montreal scene and has played around the globe. He is also the co-founder of Cosmovision Records.

Neerav

Neerav is on a life mission to share musical positivity wherever he goes. Neerav stands as a cornerstone of Montreal's music scene, rising alongside renowned artists who shaped the city's vibrant musical culture. He has headlined major global festivals, famed for his dancefloor connection and unmatched vibes. 

His evolving musical path explores world fusion, midtempo bass, and freestyle, particularly for Ecstatic Dance and Yoga events. Neerav's sets weave sacred and playful global influences, offering spaces for uninhibited self-expression through dance. He is a key figure in Quebec's thriving Ecstatic Dance scene.

Eoka

Dj Eoka is a pillar in the Quebec ecstatic dance scene. Since 2008, he has been offering vibrant dances in Val-David. For him, each dance is an inward journey expressed through the body in a healthy and open setting.

His sensitivity as a dancer guides a perpetual musical search. He carefully selects elements that inspire him, especially pieces that offer rhythms and emotions, textures, and refinement. Later, he combines his discoveries into a finely crafted performance. All for the joy of dance, quite simply!

PapaCheetah

PapaCheetah is a dj influenced by the love of house music and the bliss of being danced by it. Spent countless hours on dance floors and decided to share that love. Musical styles swim through Afrohouse, Amapiano, House, Afro-Beat, Afrotech, Soul, and some latin flair. He also shares a deep connection with the drums. He's got the groove on what your body craves to let your soul dance through your moves.

Aura Jade

Aura Jade is a fiery Ecstatic Dance DJ who crafts deep, emotional journeys through tribal downtempo, afro house, organic rhythms, and unexpected sonic twists.

Guided by intuition and elemental energy, her sets burn with primal power and feminine sensual depth—moving dancers through shadow, ego, grief, and joy. From raw intensity to tender release, Aura Jade creates transformative spaces where music becomes medicine and movement becomes liberation.

Kali Moon ∞ New Moon Sound Ceremony by Rafaelle McKay

Held monthly, these gatherings invite you to explore your inner gardens through breath, toning, voice activation, somatic movement, journaling, and drawing. Each session follows the theme of the New Moon, creating a space to reflect, release, and set intentions for the lunar cycle ahead.

Why Kali Moon? In Hindu tradition, Kali Ma is honored as a goddess of death and rebirth, guiding us to release what no longer serves and return to the truth of our hearts.

The New Moon is a time of rebirth — a sacred moment of darkness, renewal, and fresh beginnings. Each cycle encourages us to pause, look inward, and plant seeds for growth and transformation. Each month will have its specific themes and sound journey depending on the new moon we are in.

december 16 ∞ fire ∞ Sagittarius

This is an evening to melt, dive in, reboot, reclaim, remember and renew. Sagittarius & the FIRE element invite us to illuminate what needs more to be seen, let go and nourished. This is also a time to use the fire element to recall this past years gems and remember the lessons of 2025 as we slowly make our way into the next year. This sound ceremony will be a deep inner celebration bringing together Rafaelle’s Hybrid sound bath & voice bath. With a special end of year meditation for us to revise and honour our true essence.

Rafaelle MacKay has been hosting Kali Moon Sound Ceremonies for over 15 years, drawing from her studies in Hindustani classical voice in India. Her work blends breath, voice, yoga nidra, sound baths, and live musical journeys.

With Plein Soleil, she now weaves a hybrid sound experience — layering original music, bioacoustics, live looping, and instruments like crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, and gongs.

She also introduces the innovative Voice Bath: an immersive sound bath co-created with a circle of live voices, offering a powerful new way to be held in vibration and resonance.

High Priestess

Apukuna is a visionary DJ and musician whose musical offerings transcend the ordinary, creating powerful, heart-centered journeys that ignite dance floors, guide ambient sound journeys, and deepen breathwork sessions.
His distinctive approach to DJ'ing relies on looping, live remixing, live vocals, and digital percussion to craft unique and improvised experiences.

Scorpio & the WATER element invites us to emerge in and with our inner waters. Using the wisdom of water to deeply listen, allow and receive the many messages that are there under the surface. This sound ceremony will be featuring a vocal ensemble, creating a VOICE BATH lead by Rafaelle Mackay. This will be a merging of live voices as an immersive experience in the space acoustic and accompanied with original music. Along side live Chrystal and tibetan bowlsaround and at times on the participants.

Depalma

Depalma forges a raw and hypnotic sound, blending tribal techno, indie dance, acid basslines, and old-school grooves into evolving sonic journeys.

A Montreal-based DJ, Producer, and live Percussionist, he is known for bringing the raw energy of the djembe into his sets, weaving organic house, downtempo, and Afro-inspired rhythms into textured and soulful journeys. With over a decade of experience in the city’s underground scene, he continues to push boundaries between global sounds and contemporary electronic storytelling.

He’s also the co-founder of Hidden Garden productions, renowned for the impactful Natural Frequencies Music & Art Festival.

Gandalf

A pioneer in conscious and wellness events, Gandalf is the founder of Danse Extatique Québec. Beyond being a DJ, Gandalf's approach is an invitation to a transformative experience through music and dance. 
His rhythmic ambiances foster connection, trance, tribal feelings, meditative states, deep emotions, and fluidity—all supported by deep bass and enchanting melodies.

David Pressault danced for over twenty years as a performer, choreographer, and contemporary dance teacher. Now both analyst and creator, he invites each person to fully inhabit their body and soul.
