What if your body already knew the stories your mind has forgotten?
Dancing the Archetypes is a movement and inner exploration workshop where participants are invited to embody two universal figures throughout the session — such as the Fool, the Shadow, the Inner Child, Eros, or the Inner Animal.
Myths, stories, and works of art first illuminate the symbolic meaning of each archetype before their energy takes over to guide the movement. Through free dance, guided improvisation, rhythm, and breath, these figures become gateways to our strengths, wounds, and hidden desires.
No dance experience is needed — just a willingness to be moved, both physically and emotionally. Guided by music and symbolic invitations, participants explore how these archetypes live within them, revealing aspects of themselves that often remain in the shadows.
A space for freedom, play, and transformation, where dance becomes a way to connect more deeply with ourselves and with others.
Expand your body's vocabulary, cultivate your freedom of expression, and deepen your connection with your inner landscape.
Facilitator:
David Pressault is a Jungian analyst, former professional dancer, and choreographer. For 20 years, he performed and created work on international stages — in Canada, Belgium, and Italy — leading his own dance company before training as a Jungian analyst with the Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts.
Today, his practice brings these two worlds together, weaving archetypal exploration, dream analysis, and embodied movement into a unique approach.
Dancing the Archetypes was born directly from this journey: an invitation to explore the mythical figures that live within us, guided by someone who has spent his life moving between the body and the unconscious.
