House Dance Expression

House Dance is a social and freestyle dance that emerged in the 1980s from underground clubs in Chicago and New York. Rooted in music-driven expression, it blends influences from jazz, hip-hop, Latin, and African dance styles.

Known for its fluid footwork, grooves, and playful energy, House Dance is all about freedom, rhythm, and connection.

You love to dance freely, to let go and move with the music. But sometimes, you wish you had more vocabulary to express yourself—more tools to play, communicate, and flow with confidence.

House Dance is more than just steps; it’s a feeling. It’s about letting the house beat sink into your body and soul, finding rhythm in every breath, every groove, every bounce. It’s about reconnecting with the energy of the cypher—the circle where dancers exchange, inspire, and uplift each other.

With 30 years of serious dance experience and over 20 years dedicated to House, Guy aka Tronix is a true pillar of the scene. A founding member of Canada’s first House dance crew, Jack-O-lution, he honed his craft with pioneers like Brian Green and Tony McGregor, and built his foundation with Dazl and Marvin Baptiste. He’s performed professionally with renowned companies such as Destins Croisés, Solid State, and Ampleman Danse, and shared his passion through 15 years of teaching in and around Montreal.

A key member of Plein Soleil family since day one, GuyTronix is always there to welcome you with open arms and big vibes on the dance floor.
